The Buddhist path offers us practical and applicable tools for our real, everyday lives. The practices of mindfulness and loving-kindness can and should become a way of life. In order to truly live the teachings we need to dedicate periods of time to intensive formal practice. This day-long retreat is an opportunity to do just that.
This non-traditional day-long will include periods of sitting meditation with instructions in both mindfulness and heart-practice meditation. There will be periods of walking meditation, small group exercises, mindful dialog practice and a few surprises! The intention of this event is to find creative ways that we can incorporate meditation practices into the ordinary events of our busy daily lives. Please plan on having some fun within the framework of meditative inquiry.
Feel free to bring a light lunch; snacks and drinks will be provided.
Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
