Although donations are welcomed and encouraged for the stability of the community, there are no ‘set’ dues or fees associated with any of our classes or programs. In tradition with the Buddhist lineage, no one is ever turned away from any regular WHMC programming due to lack of financial ability. As a non-profit, all donations that are received go directly to support the day-to-day operations of the organization. No facilitators are compensated for their service. Our suggested donation per person is $25. This is calculated by the average attendance per offering and our average monthly operational costs. If you are in the position to give more, it allows us to serve more people who are unable to financially contribute by helping us ensure our financial stability. For transparency, below is a run-down of our recurring monthly expenses. Other varying expenses such as repairs are not listed. There are several other ways to donate, including volunteering!
